Lauren A. Carter is a proud graduate of both Florida A&M and Georgetown Universities. She wholeheartedly believes that education opens doors and empowered women transform communities. She is the founder of two nonprofit organizations and the CEO of Intentional Outcomes, LLC. Her civic and philanthropic work has allowed her to operate in her gifts and passion and for increasing access to higher education for marginalized and underrepresented scholars. Through her leadership role as the Scholarship Committee Chair at the local, regional, and national levels of the Florida A&M University (FAMU) National Alumni Association, she has engaged with thousands of aspiring college students at recruitment events, created pathways to acceptance, and has funded scholarships for the last five years in honor of her family's five generations of matriculation at the esteemed university. In 2023 she was led to expand her impact beyond FAMU and now offers college planning services to families of middle and high school students who desire to put their scholars on the path to college, but are overwhelmed or unsure of the steps necessary to achieve that goal. Lauren helps take the mystery out of the college planning process by implementing strategies specifically tailored to each client and uses decades of college recruiting experience, her project management background, and program execution expertise to position them to be fully prepared to enter the halls of higher education upon high school graduation.
